I used to love hearing that phrase.
“Oh, yeah, your roof is leaking, I got a guy for that.”
“Oh, yeah, you need a pick up truck to get that home, I got a guy for that.”
I couldn’t wait for the day when I could start building my own rolodex of “guy for that” names! More often today though, I hear the phrase “Oh, yeah, I got an app for that.”
“Oh, yeah, you need the name of a roofer, I got an app for that.”
“Oh, yeah, you need someone to deliver your groceries, I got an app for that.”
The thing about apps and technology is that for all the convenience provided, there still needs to be a level of trust. The balancing act moving forward is learning when an “app for that” does a trustworthy enough job vs. knowing when you are better off with “a guy for that.”
